“Where the Breath Begins” – March 2nd, 2025

Mar 3, 2025

Rev. Sophia preaching, with Missy Shay, Alyssa Lawson, Larry Hanawalt, Charlyn Bethell and Guy Urban.
How might we find our way towards a Spirit of Trust when the ground feels like it’s falling out from under us? The mystics and ancient wisdom teachers teach us that this is where Trust and Faith actually begin! Let’s come together and explore this for ourselves. Please remember that following worship your Faith Exploration Hiring Team and Giving Committee will present on all that is ahead for FPW. Take a breath and come to church–the ground is solid, you are among friends, and beautiful things are afoot!

Reading: from A Hidden Wholeness, by Parker Palmer

The soul is like a wild animal—tough, resilient, savvy, self-sufficient and yet exceedingly shy. If we want to see a wild animal, the last thing we should do is to go crashing through the woods, shouting for the creature to come out. But if we are willing to walk quietly into the woods and sit silently for an hour or two at the base of a tree, the creature we are waiting for may well emerge, and out of the corner of an eye we will catch a glimpse of the precious wildness we seek.
