Warrant for Special Congregational Meeting 
June 5, 2022
To: Michael Collins, Clerk of the First Parish of Watertown, Greetings:
You are hereby requested to notify and warn the legal members of the First Parish of Watertown to meet virtually SUNDAY, THE 5th DAY OF JUNE, 2022 after the on- line service, to act on the following articles, viz:
Article 1. Vote to approve the adoption of the 8th Principle of Unitarian Universalism:
Resolved: We, the members of First Parish of Watertown Unitarian Universalist, a member congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association, hereby adopt the 8th Principle of Unitarian Universalism and thus covenant to affirm and promote journeying towards spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.
As part of this journey, we further resolve to examine our traditions and practices, and change any that stand as barriers to openhearted welcome.
Furthermore, the members of FPW encourage the Article II Study Commission to include the 8th Principle in its recommendations to the General Assembly in 2023.
Article 2 Vote to approve the nomination of Beth Tappan-deFrees as Assistant Treasurer.

Article 3 To transact such other business as may legally be brought before the meeting.
