“Taking the Risk of Belonging” – September 28, 2025

Sep 29, 2025

Rev. Sophia preaching with Kyle Belmont, Charlyn Bethell, Lynn Bratley, the Hand in Hand Singers, and Guy Urban.

We will close out our month’s theme of Belonging by exploring what true belonging means and feels like. We will also consider the barriers to belonging, and the risks we take to overcome them. Come, let us worship together!

Reading: “Be Longing,” by Rev. Chad Synder

To belong
Is to be longing
For a space to be held
And that will hold
Friend, stranger, neighbor, other
For silences
Broken by songs of the silenced
For time
That does not stretch
But encircles
To belong
Is
To be longing
For wholeness
Of the beloved
Of all
Who belong
And are longing.
