As many of you know, our community continues to be actively in search of a new person to work with our children and our youth. Michelle Grove was hired as a consultant to help us take a thorough look at our history of religious education and to assist us in identifying our hopes and dreams for our future faith exploration programs. One of our goals is to expand our program to include children, youth, and adults. This is an exciting time for all of us as we seek a partner who will help us to explore how we can best develop our faith exploration programming to include all stages of life.
In working together to create our job posting and job description, we decided that the title Director of Religious Education no longer fit the position we were creating and seeking. We worked long and hard debating and trying on different titles but finally elected our new title to be (drumroll inserted here 🥁): Director of Lifespan Faith Exploration. Please help us to celebrate this new title and know that it is the title that will be used to help us seek our next collaborative director.
In order to create space and time for this new role, we expanded the hours from 25 hours a week to 30 hours a week, which has been unanimously approved by the Parish Committee. We are putting the final touches on our job posting which will be circulated widely next week, with interviews taking place over the next few months. We hope that all of you will share it with your friends and colleagues to help us to broaden our search. Thank you in advance for your efforts and feel free to contact any member of the Hiring Team if you should have any questions.
