Programs at First Parish
The Minister, Director of Religious Education, the Religious Education Committee and the Fellowship Committee organize classes and activities for adults and children in the First Parish community.
Please check our newsletter, The Arbella, for specific details and times on all classes and groups.
People who are new to Unitarian Universalism are especially invited to a class held twice a year on Sunday evenings, beginning the week following the newcomer breakfast. Members of the group begin by sharing what brought them here, and then the class covers UU history, beliefs, and organizational structure. This is an excellent way for newcomers to meet others. Dates will be announced. Contact Rev. Mark Harris
Additional educational opportunities may include classes taught by our ministers or Director of Religious Education.
We also sponsor other workshops or films on a variety of issues. Watch the newsletter for details.
This group meets from time to time, often under the auspices of the Social Activities Committee. See Newsletter for details about meeting times.
There are many social events during the church year, which are always a fun, interesting place to be with good company and good food!
Special events always include:
- Service Auction & Potluck in the spring and
- The Annual Dinner & Talent Show in early April
Several times each year, we offer potlucks so that people can come together for shared food and music.
