Children’s Faith Exploration
Our Faith Exploration program aspires to creatively meet our children and families where they are, nurture children’s spiritual needs in a loving environment, and make church a fun and safe place to call home. We see our young ones as a vital part of our church community.

Sundays
Children gather on our blue rugs at the front of the sanctuary as worship begins. We have fidget toys and favorite stuffed animals in baskets to welcome them every Sunday. We love the sounds and movements of our young ones on Sundays and especially delight in children lighting our chalice from week to week.
After the opening rituals and a Time for All Ages in the worship service, we sing our kids out with the song “There is a Love Holding Us.” Our children gather downstairs to light their own chalice, share their joys & sorrows, and explore spiritual themes through crafts and play. Children are always welcome to stay in worship if they would prefer. Parents are not expected to join their children downstairs, however we leave it to families to decide what works best for them.
Faith Exploration Classroom Assistants companion other staff members and lay leaders in offering thoughtful programming from week to week. Once per month our Music Director brings her music ministry to our children. To learn more about sharing in the ministry of children, please contact the Faith Exploration Committee.
