As April’s theme of Awakening comes to a natural close let’s come together and ‘awaken’ to who we are as a church community. We arrive with a variety of gifts and needs, and it’s good to regularly discern what they are, what they aren’t, and how they might be speaking to us. We will also sing “Woyaya” together, which reminds us about the winding, wonderful (and sometimes weird!) spiritual path we are on as a community. Slow down and give yourself the gift of church–we sure do need one another these days. Following worship, we will enjoy refreshments provided our Parish Committee before church members convene in person and on Zoom for our Annual Meeting. See you Sunday!

In this community, we hold hope close. We don’t
always know what comes next, but that cannot dissuade us.We don’t always know just what to do, but that will not mean
that we are lost in the wilderness.We rely on the certainty
beneath, the foundation of our values and ethics.We are the people who return to love like a North Star and to
the truth that we are greater together than we are alone.Our hope does not live in some glimmer of an indistinct future.
Rather, we know the way to the world of which we dream,
and by covenant and the movement forward of one right action
and the next,we know that one day we will arrive at home.

Some of her areas of interest include interfaith partnerships, addictions ministry, spiritual direction, and working towards collective liberation for all. Rev. Sophia aspires to live her life and fulfill her ministry guided by spiritual seeking, big love, and the seven principles of Unitarian Universalism.
