During this trying time, we are remaining optimistic and thinking ahead to better times.  At our last meeting we planned for a process to nominate our Ministerial Search Committee.  Our plan is to focus on this during the month of May.  The Parish Committee and the Nominating Committee will be contacting every member and friend of this parish during May to discuss your ideas on our settled minister search and to hear from you who you would nominate to represent our congregation on the Search Committee.  We will need 7 people who will be willing to commit the time to the search process during the summer and following church year.  We hope to have a committee elected by the beginning of June.

In the immediate future, we are working on our budget for next year.  While we have some uncertainty due to loss of rental income during this social distancing time, we are confident that we will be able to recover and continue our strong programs.  The Parish Council, which includes all the chairs of the church committees met virtually this Tuesday.  This group includes some very dedicated and smart thinkers who are really looking out for the financial health of the church.  Completing our pledge drive and getting a better idea of anticipated income for next year, will go a long way toward helping us to plan.

We are very grateful to all the very tech savvy members of our church and to our brave and hardworking staff for their efforts to keep us all in touch with one another during this difficult time.  Together we will get through this!  Bless you all and stay safe.
