It’s official!  We have signed an agreement with Rev. Wendy Bell to work with us as our Interim Minister starting in August.  Wendy will begin in Watertown the first week in August and will spend that time getting to know the staff and finding her way around the church office, etc.  Because Wendy lives in Arlington, she will not be living in the Parsonage but will instead commute to Watertown.   We will plan a welcome for Wendy in September after our regular services have started.

Looking ahead, we will be convening a group to look into options for the Parsonage for the next two years.  The Parish Committee will be meeting in July to begin thinking about how best to make decisions about the future of the Parsonage.

At our last meeting, the Parish Committee approved policies and procedures for how we will manage the Memorial Wall and any requests for interment of ashes.  We have formed a Memorial Committee which will oversee these policies.  If you would like to make a request to have a name of a deceased loved one inscribed on the wall or have questions, please contact Sue Sours, Bobbie Brown or Nick Haddad. We plan to inscribe some names in mid- July.  We will be posting the policies for the Memorial Garden on the website later this summer.

We have a year of reflection and change ahead and under the guidance Rev. Bell, I am very hopeful that we will emerge from this transition period a stronger and more committed congregation.
