The Communications Committee has been hard at work trying to let you know what’s going on at FPW, and this article is one of the latest additions. Each month, a committee will get to step into the spotlight and introduce themselves and what they do.
What do we do? The Communications Committee facilitates external and internal outreach and communications. Our biggest roles are managing the website and social media sites. We also assist with the production of various flyers, brochures and media requests. Together with other committees (special thanks to Tech and our resident photographers!), we gather content for these purposes in print, audio-visual, and electronic forms for these purposes.
Some of the big projects the Communications Committee has spearheaded in recent years include a complete redesign and rebranding of the website and weekly newsletter, a submission form to standardize and simplify submissions to the newsletter, and the addition of a YouTube channel that includes recordings of many past sermons.
Much gratitude and thanks go to Chuck Dickinson for overseeing the direction of these valuable projects and herding the cats in this committee for the last few years.
Communications needs YOU! There are a few things you can do to help us keep our FPW communications up to date.
- If you have a Breeze account, please update your photo preferences! This helps us know what photos we can post publicly so we can keep images current.
- If you are a chair of a committee, heads up! We’ll be asking each committee to write a brief article like this one for a future newsletter.
